BEING HUMAN IS HARD.
And when you add the demands and expectations of society, relationships, work, and culture, being human can sometimes feel impossible.
You’re here because you’re tired of struggling with overwhelming thoughts, vicious cycles or coping with those uncomfortable emotions. Maybe you have trouble focusing, you’re chasing endless to-do lists and you can’t help but compare yourself to others. Finding balance feels complicated. You’re burnt out and tired, yet it shomehow feels like you’re not doing enough. You’ve gotten pretty good at avoiding those feelings of anxiety, guilt, shame, or loneliness, but you find them sneaking up on you. Something needs to shift, but you don’t know where to start.
Fun fact - you have already started! Seeking support takes a lot of courage. It’s scary to recognize these patterns, but you don’t have to figure this out on your own. Let’s help you find YOU again, learn to accept and understand different parts of yourself and explore how to navigate as a human in this complex world.
Hey there! I’m Connie!
I’m a psychotherapist that specializes in weaving creativity into our work together to help you understand and process tricky thought patterns, break free from vicious cycles and navigate those uncomfortable and overwhelming emotions.
My approach is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, BIPOC-centred and person-centred.
This means our work will honour your lived experience, move at your pace, and you’ll be offered a safe and supportive space to show up exactly as you are - without judgment, pressure, or expectations.
In our sessions, we can gently explore the complexities of being human. Creativity lets us go deeper. It lets us access our inner wisdom, work through challenges with control and provides an opportunity for you to silence your inner critic and perfectionist.
Let’s explore how we can bring more colour and light to the parts of your life that feel dark or muted. Let’s help you build a brighter, kinder and more supportive relationship with yourself. :)
